Year 4 community partner visit at Huynh Van Ngoi School

Last Wednesday morning, 4C went to visit their community partners at Huynh Van Ngoi School in Thao Dien.

The children were full of anticipation and were excited to make some new friends! When we arrived, the class teacher greeted us warmly and we were put into groups. First of all, children introduced themselves and discussed their favourite food and hobbies. The next activity involved watching some slides about Ho Chi Minh City and then completing a fact file on entertainment and famous buildings. 4C worked cooperatively with their new friends and our Vietnamese speakers provided translation when necessary. It was a valuable experience for our children to see life in a local school and beneficial in terms of developing confidence in new social situations. While 4C were enjoying being visitors, 4S were thrilled to have a visit from HVN to their own classroom. The children enjoyed getting to know each other and worked collaboratively to solve tangram puzzles. 4S are looking forward to meeting the children again when they visit HVN and 4C are excited about hosting their new friends.
