BIS Barracudas compete at ISHCMC Swim Meet The BIS Barracudas competed in the ISHCMC Invitational on the 11th and 12th of May.

The BIS Barracudas competed in the ISHCMC Invitational on the 11th and 12th of May. This was the largest meet many of our students have competed in with 500 competitors from local and overseas International Schools. The competition was fierce and challenged our students to swim to the best of their abilities over the two days of competition.

The BIS team consisted of 83 students, all of whom achieved a new personal best time (Pb) in one or more of their events. Over the weekend, the Barracudas achieved over 300 new Pb’s! An amazing achievement!

This weekend also resulted in 25 school records being broken, the following students achieved new school records;

  • Tong Ngo 6 and under boys 50 Backstroke – 56.84

When competing at swimming events students score points for their team, but also for themselves as individuals. The following students achieved overall podium finishes (Top 3) for their respective age groups;

  • Zoia Gerei 6 and under Girls – 3rd Place
  • Sao Mai Pham 6 and under Girls – 2nd Place
  • Ena Ohashi 6 and under Girls – 3rd Place
  • Arthur Kenyon-Butler 7 – 8 Boys – 3rd Place
  • Quynh An Tran 11 – 12 Girls – 2nd Place
  • Ryan Lower 11 – 12 Boys – 2nd Place
  • Shubhankar Patki 13 – 14 Boys – 2nd Place
  • Ryo Sarashina 13 – 14 Boys – 3rd Place
  • Alois Luong 15 and over Boys – 1st Place

Congratulations to Alois Luong, who achieved a perfect score of 120, meaning he placed 1st in all his events over the weekend!

The BIS Barracudas had a fantastic weekend receiving many Pb’s, medals and breaking school records. As a result, the Barracudas were Runners Up! A fantastic weekend of swimming by all! Congratulations and thank you!
