This Summer, 20 BIS HCMC students had the incredible opportunity of representing Ho Chi Minh City in an international football tournament as part of the Rising Star Football Academy European Tour.
Our students joined 57 players from Rising Star Football Academy Korea as well as former players, friends and family making up 9 individual teams. This was a two-week tour starting with training in Portugal before moving on to Copenhagen to partake in the Cup Denmark.
Week 1 saw the players arrive in the Colina Verde Sports Resort in the Portuguese Algarve. This resort has hosted multiple professional sports clubs as well as top international teams over the years. The players took part in training sessions, player workshops, recovery sessions and friendly matches. They also had the opportunity to watch French side Lille OSC take on local Portuguese side Portimonense S.C in a preseason friendly.
Up next was the trip to Copenhagen to take part in the Cup Denmark. The standard of football during this tournament was incredibly high, challenging each and every player.
The players also had the chance to watch the hosts Brondby IF play Polish side Lechia Gdnask in the Europa League Qualifiers – a truly memorable experience.
To date, this has been the largest Summer Tour for RSFA and their most successful, arriving home with 2 winner trophies. RSFA finished Cup Denmark with the following achievements:
