Languages became an important part of my life. Before and during the graduation I realised that different languages empower us to read the world with different lenses and stimulate open mindedness. I have held a bachelor degree in Languages (Portuguese and Spanish) and a bachelor in Education since 2010. I was amazed the first time I had a chance to be abroad and to express myself in Spanish!
Music is also something that interests me. I take guitar lessons every time it is possible and since 2015 I hold a degree in Music Therapy (different interests as I said!). It showed me that music can affect us in various ways and it tells a lot about ourselves.
Before working in BCB, I was a volunteer in a NGO called Amigos da Criança, which raises awareness about special education needs through ludic education, based on Winnicott’s ideas. I also worked as an intern and as a teacher in some Brazilian schools.
In 2019 I was given the opportunity to be part of the Middle Leadership team in Secondary School, as Head of Modern Foreign Languages department. My role is to support our students to develop and enrich their language repertoire as global citizens.
Apart from studying, my other passions are reading, dancing, singing and traveling, especially if I get to see the sun rising up in the sky, because it is a beautiful spectacle.
