2017 Round Square Week Begins

Always a highlight of the year at Regents, our students are enjoying some amazing activities and trips as part of Round Square Week. Round Square schools are characterised by a shared belief in delivering an education that draws from six ideals - democracy, service, environmentalism, leadership, adventure and internationalism

Founded in 1966, Round Square maintains and facilitates a worldwide network of 180 schools in 50 countries. Founder Kurt Hahn was a German educator who believed that students could only really understand life by experiencing it in many exciting and challenging ways. By testing themselves, students would be able to develop their courage, generosity, imagination, principles and resolution. Ultimately they would develop the skills and abilities to become the guardians and leaders of the future. (Source, www.roundsquare.org)

This week our Primary children are enjoying activities ranging from windsurfing to sculpture, and next week will be the turn of our Secondary students, with trips to Russia and Switzerland among the highlights.
