Windermere Prep Student Takes World Championship Title
Windermere Prep Student Takes World Championship Title Windermere Preparatory School Junior, Neilly Ross, takes first place to become World Champion in the 2017 IWWF World Water Ski Championships!

Windermere Preparatory School Junior and professional water skier, Neilly Ross, 16, has taken first place to become World Champion in the 2017 IWWF World Water Ski Championships! 

In 2013, Ross competed in the World Championships in Santiago, Chile where she became the youngest person to make the finals at a World Championship event at the age of 12. Since then, she has become the youngest person to trick 7,000 and 8,000 points, and the youngest female to trick 9,000 and 10,000 points (one of only four females to trick 10,000).

Some of her additional top achievements include:
– 2015 and 2016 Junior Masters Trick Champion (with new course records of 9,060 points and 9,920 points)
– 2016 Junior Moomba Masters Trick Champion, Setting a new Course Record of 9,920 points
– 2014 and 2015 Junior US Open Trick Champion
– 2015 Open World Championships Silver Medalist
– 2015 IWSF World Ranking list–1st in U17 tricks, 2nd Open Women tricks
– 2012 and 2014 Junior Worlds Trick silver medalist
– 2013, 2014, and 2015 Canadian Nationals Open Women Trick Champion
– Ranked 1st in “Top 5: The 21st Century Kids Breaking New Barriers” by WaterSki Magazine
– US record holder, G1 slalom and tricks
– Canadian record holder, G1 slalom and tricks, G2 slalom and tricks, G3 slalom and tricks
– 2014 US Open: Open Women’s Trick Bronze Medalist
