Rewards in First Grade

It doesn’t matter how old we are, rewards are always fun to earn.  In the first grade, they have adopted the idea of earning rewards that make a memory.  

This year as students earn rewards they are able to earn activities from a Reward Chart (each quarter brings a new list of possibilities) such as bringing in a show and tell item or working with a chosen classmate as their learning buddy for the day. Learning games are also a popular choice along with reading to a pre-K 3 class! 

Mrs. Hickey and Mrs. Kerr have shared that the little kids really love for bigger kids to be guests in their rooms, but we think the first graders love being the big kids and sharing what they know even more!  Just another way our youngest learners practice the elements of our Crest by bringing the spirit of Unitas and Virtus together!
