📢 Join us for our Open Day (12th November) | Application Fee Waiver (*)
No doubt you will have seen news about the devastating earthquake in Nepal. As a school community we would like to respond.
Mr Dunwell, who moved to Hanoi from Kathmandu, has designed some information on the earthquake and its effects for our Daily Notice and for tutors and class teachers to discuss with students. On Friday we are going to hold a Bake Sale during Breaktime. We ask members of the school community to bring in cakes to sell and to bring in money to buy cakes. Students who bring in cakes should bring them straight to the collection point on Friday morning. The cakes will then be shared amongst Early Years, Primary and Secondary for selling during the first break. We are also happy to accept cash donations which we will send on to TBS Nepal.
We are going to donate the money we raise to The British School of Kathmandu Charity appeal. TBS Kathmandu is a FOBISIA school who work with four local schools for students with Special Needs in Nepal whose buildings have been seriously damaged by the earthquake. All the money we raise will go towards supporting these charity projects as the administration is covered by TBS Kathmandu through staff and student volunteering. Further information on the TBS Kathmandu charity projects can be found at
