Weekly update from Head of Primary

Dear Parents,

It has been wonderful seeing the return of our day trips in the Primary school. Day trips are carefully planned into the units of study of our young students by teachers to enrich the curriculum.

This week, Year 5s went to the Ethnology Museum to explore and conduct research to supplement their learning. When I spoke to some Year 5 students after their trip, JuHa, Henry, and Tuan Minh were full of information about what they had learned and what a great experience it was. More year groups have trips coming up over the term, so please look out for information from class teachers.

Our Friends of BIS, parent community group has also been busy, and there are more events planned this term. This week saw our first parent cooking session in the school kitchen, and we have just advertised our first Flea Market or secondhand sale for Saturday, November 26th.

If you are interested in getting more involved with Friends of BIS, please join the Facebook group and WhatsApp chat group using the link HERE.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Rebecca Carroll
