Last week two of our students, JaeYeon and Caitlin, joined over 100 NAE student delegates from around the world at the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit in New York City. This was an extraordinary opportunity for them to develop their leadership and advocacy skills and collaborate with like-minded students to cultivate their social purpose through the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Relive our phenomenal IB Visual Arts Exhibition at The World ArtSpace in District 2 showcasing the art pieces of our 7 higher-level IB Arts students. Over 70 pieces were displayed in a range of formats from oil on canvas to hanging installations, sculpture, photography, textiles and even a Tracey Emin-inspired pandemic pillow installation.

News BIS book week 2023: celebrating the authors of BIS HCMC
This week has been a fantastic celebration of reading and literature at BIS HCMC. Three campuses on Tuesday were flooded with Harry Potters, Big Friendly Giants, hiding Wallys Alices from Wonderland and countless more characters from the literary world as our students went all out for Book Character Dress Up Day. Most impressive of all though throughout book week, was the fantastic literary work of our BIS HCMC students. Secondary creative writing was available for all to read through student-curated magazines and even published books in our school library.

Our U13 sports squad took part in the first FOBISIA Games in 4 years, from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th March at the world-class Patana Sports Complex, near Pattaya in Thailand. Our team of 28 students aged 11-13 competed against 6 other schools from the FOBISIA network, in swimming, athletics, basketball and football, in what is one of the most competitive International Sports Tournaments in Asia. In March our Junior and Secondary coders took part in 2 coding challenges competing against schools across Asia. The first challenge hosted by The British School of Manila, saw our senior team succeeding with their lost and found organisation platform, whilst the Junior competition, hosted by BIS HCMC, saw our teams winning best presentation across KS2 and KS3. On the 4th and 5th of March 2023, BIS HCMC hosted the BIS Invitational Swimming Gala for the first time in four years. There were a total of 420 swimmers from the seven different schools ranging from age 6 - 18 years old. Read about how BIS broke 17 school records and came home the overall champions!
