This year has been very productive and prosperous for Senior Changemakers. After implementing monthly newsletter articles informing the school community about updates in this CCA, we have worked hard on continuing, finishing, and creating new projects.

Primary have a group of very enthusiastic and dedicated gardeners! The children have been extremely busy planting, weeding, thinning out and watering a wide range of vegetables and flowers in the Year 2 garden areas.

On Tuesday, to the great delight of our students, lunch was a gyros! We tried to make the whole lunchtime feel like Greece, like we were snacking on delicious food in a small Greek village.

On 3rd March, the Global Campus Digital Habitat Competition was launched, giving students the opportunities to work collaboratively with other students to create a habitat for an endangered animal on the platform Minecraft.

At this time of year, we say goodbye not only to students and their families as they move on to other countries but also to some of our teachers. I would like to thank the teachers leaving for their hard work, dedication and commitment to our students over their time in the school. We wish them all the very best in their new schools and are grateful for all their contributions to our community.

We are proud of our graduating class, their achievements during their time at BISB, and wish them bright futures ahead.

🎉 What an incredible evening at our BISB Wolves Sports Awards! 🏅   We celebrated the outstanding achievements and dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, and supporters. From record-breaking performances to team spirit and sportsmanship, each award highlighted the remarkable talent and hard work within our Wolves community.

Our school is characterised by diversity, which we try to reflect in our menu. We try to include dishes from all national cuisines that our students will love, including Hungarian cuisine.

Are you leaving BISB at the end of this academic year? Please consider returning all your no-longer-needed uniform pieces to us so that we may give them a new life with another BISB family.

Last week we held our first Shakespeare Festival – Shakesfest! which saw all of Year 7 participating in celebrating the bard. Students worked collaboratively and creatively over several weeks to produce and perform condensed versions of Macbeth, The Tempest, and Romeo and Juliet using much of the original dialogue and adding their own contemporary twists.

This week in Year 1 we enjoyed  a presentation from Mr. Brown about African animals. We learned so much about many African animals including different types of  antelopes, big cats, elephants, buffalo and snakes. We were fascinated to hear about the fearless  honey badger. Thank You Mr. Brown!

These works were created as part of the Year 11 student's coursework and examination projects and are the result of hard work, and innovative thinking from both the students, and their teacher Ms. Evans.

On Friday last week, Primary held the final of our Spoken Poetry Competition. Class and year group finals happened during the week leading up to the final and on Friday the finalists from each year group performed to an audience of their peers, their parents and our judges; Mr Turner, Ms. Murphy, Mr Cannon and Ms. Croft.

Mini Change makers and our Senior Change Maker Ambassadors are proud to announce the completion of our sustainable herb and sensory garden. Our Change Maker Ambassador students were successful in obtaining a 'Rewilding Grant' from Nord Anglia Education. The designated land has only a little sunlight and the soil was poor quality making it difficult for things to grow in.

It is not the first time we have had homemade pizza on our menu, as it is a favorite with the students, but this is the first time we have had it on our menu because it has been made entirely in-house. We do not use a frozen pizza base; our chefs knead the dough.

We had a fabulous sunny day last Saturday with over 300 children and many parents attending the family day, visiting the stalls prepared by all their year groups as well as social impact groups. Thank you to all the helpers!

This week we had two action-packed days of sports galore in Primary!On Tuesday morningYear 3 and 4 showcased their teamwork, athleticism, and House Spirit with Jade House clinching 1st Place!

We are thrilled to share with you the outstanding achievements of our primary students in the recent UKMT Junior Maths Challenge at the end of April.

In Year 7, students are having fun with digital art inspired by the De Stijl movement, learning about artists such as Piet Mondrian.
