From September 18th to 22nd, we celebrated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Week at BISB, commemorating the global initiative born in 2012 to address urgent environmental, political, and economic challenges.

Each week, a fantastic group of students (and Ms Walton and Ms Croft) weave their way up the craggy forest paths and explore the wonderful trails.

On Wednesday 20th September our U19 Girls’ Football team travelled to Lycée Français Gustave Eiffel de Budapest school to play their first match of the season.

On Friday the 8th and Monday the 11th of September Year 13 Physics students took part in a lab day to collect high quality data for their internal assessment work.

Last week, two Year 6 classes went on a school trip to Kalandpark tree top walking adventure park.

Jade, Sapphire, Topaz and Ruby Houses came together for an epic showdown at their first Y7-13 Sports Day!

Year 12 also had fun making, and looking at the properties of ‘ooblek’, a simple mixture of water and corn starch.

Last week, we took the year 6 students to the forest where we enacted a simulation of being refugees having to leave their home, with only 10 items packed in their bags.

This week, Year 7 were finishing off their safety lessons by learning how to correctly use a Bunsen burner.

Parents/carers of Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils,  You are invited to a Parents in Partnership (PIP) on Thursday 21st September at 9am in the dining room.

Word of the Week is in full swing in Primary.

Over the summer, Year 3 took part in a TT rockstars challenge.

We are pleased to announce that our Primary After School Child Care service will continue during the first Term of 2023-24, running between Monday, 28th August and Wednesday, 13th December.

We are delighted to confirm that our CCA programme will soon be up and running for 2023/2024.

Following the success of Journey’s End in February, we can’t wait to get on with the next one.
