Two wonderful showcases for you, firstly congratulations to our Year 11 Art students on completing their first coursework project please enjoy their work. 

On the 29th January BISB’s year 9, 10 and 11 mathematicians competed in the UK Maths Challenge (UKMT).

Over the past few weeks, we have received several positive comments about our soups, with many praising their delicious taste. We genuinely appreciate all feedback, as it helps us to improve our services and continuously provide even better meals.

On 11^th February 2025, we proudly hosted Girls in Tech Day, an exciting event inspired by the STEAM Club from Global Campus Women & Girls in Science: Technology for Wellbeing. This initiative encouraged students to explore the transformative power of technology and its role in shaping a better future.

In our latest Parent Academy session, Mrs. Russell guided parents through the essential topic of Safe Internet Usage, offering valuable insights on how to help children navigate the digital world securely. 

On Saturday, 1st February, our school hosted the highly anticipated Budapest Cup, where both our Under 19 Boys and Girls basketball teams showcased their talent and sportsmanship in exciting matchups against teams from Britannica International School and the American International School Budapest. 

This short report summarizes our team’s recent CanSat competition activities, focusing on the successful field tests conducted in preparation for the next milestone: the Critical Design Review (CDR).

Year 9 and Year 13 Hungarian students recently participated in a cross-curricular activity focusing on the Don River and the Hungarian troops' situation in 1942 in the Soviet Union in WW2. 

Recently, our Year 1 students took a deep dive into dental health during a fun and interactive Dental Day! 

On Tuesday 11th our U11 girls played their first organised 7 aside match. The girls have spent months preparing for the chance to play this type of match. 

Last Saturday afternoon, together with the Hungarian Literary Walking Club, we embarked on a literary walk in Újlipótváros (13^th district), exploring the life and poetry of Radnóti Miklós, the renowned Hungarian Holocaust poet.

BISB has been alive with excitement during this year's Humanities Week (3rd-7th), featuring an array of engaging activities across all year groups.

Year 7 were given just that item and asked to develop an experiment to show something they have learned during their current topic about energy changes.

As part of the Humanities Week, the department was delighted to welcome some of the parents from the community who are industry experts, to share their experiences and professional trajectories with the Year 9s at Talking Business at BISB. 

As part of Children's Dental Health Month, our school's kitchen, in collaboration with the school nurse, will host the first-ever Dental Health Day on February 11. The menu will feature foods that contribute to maintaining healthy teeth.

Our NAE Snowsports Expedition is well underway, and our 19 adventurous BISB students are making the most of their time on the slopes in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland! 

Year 8 Sapphire aimed to raise awareness about sustainability as part of their Service-learning project, focusing on SDG 12: Responsible Consumption.
