This week, the Year 7 Hungarian group went to the “Pesti Színház“ theatre to see “Toldi”.
Toldi Miklós, the protagonist, is a symbol of courage, heroism, loyalty, honour, and humanity. Toldi was Louis the Great’s nobleman, whose memory is shrouded by numerous stories. This masterpiece of Hungarian literature was written by Arany János in 1846, for a competition organised by the Kisfaludy Társaság.
The captivating adventures of Toldi were brought to life by Csőre Gábor in the Pesti Színház. The live music and spectacular visual effects made this play very enjoyable for everyone.
