The day started off with children being welcomed into school by students playing rock music in the auditorium. This was followed by the chance to have a henna tattoo at break (with the kind support of our Indian community) and a special rock star lunch; ‘Rock Star’ Rantott Csirke, ‘Frett Fries’ and a ‘Chorus Carrot Cake’. This was the official launch of the drive to increase times tables knowledge. Students in Years 1-3 will have personalised challenges and Year 4-6 will be involved in a ‘Battle of the Bands’ where classes compete in their year groups to get as many correct answers in a given time. Our trial in Year 6 was incredibly successful and we look forward to this success spreading throughout the school.
Following the postponement of Journey’s End before Christmas, we are pleased to announce the new dates.
Year 9 have been showing their green fingers/thumbs by trying to germinate cress seeds under various conditions, to see what is important for the seed growth.
There was more basketball on Saturday. This time our U14 Girls A and B teams had their DVAC Festival here at BISB.
