An Interview with an Inspector

Flora Zsoldos and Alexandra Lokhvitskaya, journalists with the student magazine Muse, managed to ambush one of the school inspectors during the ISI inspection week for a quick interview. Flora has written the interview up for us below:

Harry FitzHerbert is a teacher and inspector, who has been inspecting schools all around the world for seven years now. He first started working as an inspector when an opportunity came up to go to one in Kyran. He only signed up for the experience of seeing Kyran for the first and probably last time in his life. After an unfortunate turn of events, his Kyran trip was cancelled, he got stuck in a small town motel inspecting a whole other school. Despite not getting to see Kyran, he ended up quite liking the job of inspection and decided to pursue this as an additional opportunity. We were lucky enough to catch up with him and ask him a few questions about his career.
When we asked him about the schools he has visited we asked what makes a good school? He answered a school putting children and their outcomes first. Another thing we managed to learn is that in his school he teaches Spanish and is a Head Teacher. Overall he has a very interesting life and we are grateful to learn about it.
