Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe is the play that Year 8 have begun to explore in Drama this week. They are looking at how they can create an atmosphere as performers. This starts with how the students are using facial expression and body movements to show their characters. The pictures below depict them showing the character Mephistopheles. They then developed these characters further by hot seating each other which is a technique used in drama to help an actor become more familiar and comfortable with their character. The students did a Teams video call with one student being interviewed by the other students whilst they remain in character and learn more about their character.
