Word Cloud Designs by Year 5 EAL Students

Year 5 EAL learners were asked to create a word cloud depicting keywords from their class novel Holes by Louis Sachar. They first had to carefully choose 10 verbs, 10 adjectives and 10 nouns they thought were important in the story. Then the children designed their own word collections knowing that in a word cloud the bolder and bigger a word appears the more significant it is in the book. Some children used wordart.com while others enjoyed arranging their words by hand. All the designs are unique. Well done Year 5!
