Year 13 History students are currently studying Conflict and Intervention as part of their IB Diploma History course. They are currently examining events in Kosovo between 1998 – 2000. By considering a wide range of source material from the time, they can understand the influences and effects of international intervention in Kosovo.
A member of our school community, Mr Liridon Krasniqi, volunteered to share his experiences of growing up in Kosovo during the events that our students are studying. Our Year 13 students asked important questions that shed light on a very valuable perspective of life during these events from someone who was roughly their age at the time.
We would like to thank Mr Krasniqi for his detailed recollection of events. His talk helped our students to consolidate their understanding and develop their work as historians, through working with first-hand accounts of important events.
