Students in Secondary recently participated in a competition to design new logos for each of the school houses. Students started off by researching about the boats or ships each of our houses were named after.
During some of the Year 11-13 art lessons, students were also shown how to design and create logos using free software such as Pixlr. A number of our designers also used software such as Blender and Pro Create.
With over 80 entries it was great to see all the wonderful ideas from students in every house. It was very difficult to select from the shortlisted entries. To decide our winners, 223 students and teachers voted to select our final placings. In some cases, it was very close between first and second place in each house.
Congratulations to all of our winners, Xenia, Jessica, Mingzi and Sarah for their fantastic logo designs:
Calypso 1st - Xenia Savina, Year 7
Discovery 2nd - Jessica MacGillivray, Year 9
Kontiki 3rd - Mingzi Yang, Year 9
Endeavour 4th - Sarah Hag Ali, Year 7
