The atmosphere was tense as students came down to the final few questions in the House Spelling Bee Finals today, culminating in a nail-biting finish between Lilla of Endeavour and Rutger of Calypso.
The final honours went to Rutger from Calypso, but special mention must be made of the excellent turn-out by Discovery and the spectacular performance by Daria of Kontiki who held out on her own to provide the most correct spellings in the competition. Well done to everyone who entered and the enthusiastic audience who cheered them on. See you next year!
