This year, some of the Year 12 students, as part of their CAS project, have teamed up with the Menedékház Charity for a Christmas charity appeal. The Menedékház Charity specialises in helping unhoused, young children from troubled or unfortunate backgrounds, and helping families through difficult situations.
They help people get back on their feet and provide them with the help they need to be able to move their lives forward with better opportunities. We are going to be helping them out by focusing on the young children and babies in their organisation and collecting supplies to help them do their work.
These items will include baby powder, baby lotion, packs of nappies, baby shampoo, wet wipes, toddler toothpaste and toothbrushes, as well as financial donations. If you have the chance, please do help out these disadvantaged children and bring in some of these supplies or simply donate money. There will be a donation box and donation jar in the school’s reception area. Alternatively, you can give the items to your child who will then place them in the donation box/jar in their tutor room.
We really hope you can help us make their Christmas a little merrier!
