As part of their topic on Light, Year 8 have been studying the eye and how we see objects. How better to appreciate the complexities of the organ than by dissecting one to see how it functions.
The students were given an eye, dissecting equipment (including gloves), and instructions, and were tasked with finding the important parts, the lens, cornea, retina and optic nerve.
