As a culmination of all of their work so far this year, Students in Year 12 from the Changemakers CCA have been awarded a research grant of $3000 from the NAE charitable giving committee.
So far, students have investigated soil types, completed a snowdrop planting project with mini-changemakers and are now planning some native summer planting in their plan to 'rewild' the school campus. The aims of the project, as determined by the students, are to diversify habitats in the school grounds, enhance student wellbeing and provide a resource for learning in lessons. The funds will enable the students to purchase their plants, some gardening tools and an outdoor display board.
Huge congratulations in particular to Eunseo Kim, Tyra Dapo, Tetyana Gurung and Emily Waltham for all their hard work, as well as all the Changemakers who offered their support in the application process.
