Choo! Choo! All Aboard...On Wednesday 2nd November, Blue and Yellow groups from Early Years went out for their first school trip, this year. The children across both groups have shown interest in nature, exploring the forest, and investigating seasonal changes. As a class we decided to take The Children's Railway up to Normafa, here we disembarked the train and went for a very long nature walk; all the children managed to walk 2km! On our walk, we saw many varieties of wild mushrooms, wild boar footprints and lots of small places for insects to hide.
The trip has provoked discussions around mushrooms, in particular, what the winter might have in store for us as it quickly approaches. It was an incredible learning experience for all the children, who were impeccably well-behaved and a real credit to themselves. We cannot wait to start planning our next adventure!
