Year 7, as part of their Cells unit, has been looking at specialised cells. These are cells that have special adaptations to do a specific job in animals and plants.
For a fun way to learn about these, the students did some research on one type of cell and drew their chosen cell on a piece of polystyrene sheet (a Shrinkle®), this was then heated in an oven for a few minutes and became more ‘cell sized’.
You can see the comparison sizes in the pictures. A lot of “wow”s and “oohs”s were heard as they were heated.

Last week, the British International School Budapest campus came alive with colour, energy, and excitement as our youngest students took part in the annual Primary and Early Years Sports Day!
A huge congratulations to Lizanna (Year 4) and Laura Ivánka (Year 9) for an incredible week of achievements in science and innovation!
