Update on our collaboration with New Start Foundation charity, shoe collection
A BIG Thank You to everyone who donated shoes. Our BISB community generously donated 515 pairs of shoes. Last year's total was 503. In total, New Start Foundation collected 5 685 pairs of shoes. These were sorted and distributed to families living in 40 towns in Borsod, Jaszsag and Somogy counties. More than 2 500 children received a minimum of 2pairs of shoes.

On our most recent Hungarian trip the Year 12 students had a chance to explore the 20th century art movements in Hungary and also get a glance into the life of, one of Hungary’s greatest poets, Ady Endre.
20 students in Years 5 and 6 recently took part in the Primary Maths Challenge. Nuala and Athena achieved a Gold award and Vlada achieved a Silver award. Other students earned Bronze or Participation certificates.
