This week, the Year 13 Chemistry students have been collecting data for their IA (practical assessment) part of the course. They have spent the last few weeks choosing their experiment, researching a method, and practicing to make sure it works, adapting as needed. Each student then had a full day this week to complete as many experiments as they need to collect the data which they will now use to compile their final report. This is an important aspect of the Chemistry diploma course, as it counts towards 20% of their final grade. Now they just need to write up the experiment as a 12-page document.
