On Tuesday the 28th of November our Year 12 IB Theatre students performed their production proposal performance of "Prima Facie" by Suzie Miller. This was performed as part of their ongoing practical exploration of the play. Students have been rehearsing this performance for several weeks as actors, observing Mrs Brown, the Director of the Performance and deciding how they would both design and direct their own version of the performance. Students are now currently writing their mock production proposal report where they will outline their final design and directorial concept.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed their performance with many stating it was one of the best performances they had ever seen. The students were able to communicate the key message surrounding the topic of consent, which was incredibly important to both the actors and the director.
It has been a busy and creative term. Both dance clubs have been exploring movement, sharing ideas, learning movement, and working together to choreograph dances.
