Tuesday of this week was ‘pi day’ named because the date (the American way at least!) was 3.14 (March 14).
8-2Ma and 8-3Ma were given the task of not only thinking about the number that is pi, and relating it to circles – which they have been doing during their current unit - but also practicing their English, by writing a poem/song/story where each of the words had to have the correct number of letters as seen in pi.
Something like ‘How I wish I could calculate pi …..’ (3.14592 ….).
Some examples can be seen here.
Last week, the British International School Budapest campus came alive with colour, energy, and excitement as our youngest students took part in the annual Primary and Early Years Sports Day!
A huge congratulations to Lizanna (Year 4) and Laura Ivánka (Year 9) for an incredible week of achievements in science and innovation!
