Dichotomous keys – what does that mean?
It is a method used by biologists to help classify animals, plants, and rocks. An example is shown here.
7X were learning about this in science, but in a slightly different way - by making and playing ‘Guess Who?’.
Students chose 24 animals and made stands for them, then they paired up and randomly chose one of their opponents’ cards.
The other person, by asking questions, and removing cards, had to try and guess which card they have.
Lots of fun was has by all.

On our most recent Hungarian trip the Year 12 students had a chance to explore the 20th century art movements in Hungary and also get a glance into the life of, one of Hungary’s greatest poets, Ady Endre.
20 students in Years 5 and 6 recently took part in the Primary Maths Challenge. Nuala and Athena achieved a Gold award and Vlada achieved a Silver award. Other students earned Bronze or Participation certificates.
