Year 9 have just completed some fantastic digital illustrations in the style of British contemporary artist Julian Opie. They also researched about the artist and considered how portraiture can also take a digital format. This relates to the earlier portrait topics in Term 1, where they also recreated some famous Renaissance portraits using photography and have created some accurate tonal portraits using pencil. In Term 3 again they will look at contemporary painting using acrylic and explore the work of Chuck Close.

Year 8 Hungarian students went to a Hungarian trip to Gödöllői Királyi Kastély. We learned that Sisi and her family came to this castle in their free time to relax and hunt during fall, winter, and spring.
This spring break proved to be both busy and rewarding for British International School Budapest students, Laura Ivanka and Lizanna Ivanka, who achieved remarkable results at two major RoboCup Junior competitions.
