On Tuesday 12th March 2024, our Year 10 IGCSE Performing Arts students, worked collaboratively to provide an evening of Drama Devised Performances and Music Ensemble performances as part of their IGCSE courses. For some of these students it was the first time they had performed in front of their peers, teachers, and parents and so alongside their performances they were learning to manage any performance anxiety. Working together allowed our Year 10 students to exchange ideas and support one another and is a reminder to all students that the rehearsal process is just as crucial as the final performance outcome. It is during these rehearsals that students refine their skills, overcome challenges, and grow as performers. Our performance evening was an opportunity for our Year 10 students to showcase some of the fabulous work they have been doing in the classroom over the last few months as part of their on-going coursework.

Last week, Year 6 performed our wonderful musical production for the parents and younger children in school. It was a play called Troy Story - it was about the Greeks and Trojans who were at war and had lots of drama.
As the academic year draws to a close, our Early Years students marked the occasion in the most joyful way possible, with Splash Day, a much-loved BISB tradition that brings together sunshine, water play, and the simple delight of being a child.
