‘Personalised learning’ is just one example of a term discussed frequently in schools but often with different ideas and meanings. In my 30+ years as an educator, I have found that some parents have different definitions of personalised learning, while others may not be very familiar with the concept or the concrete benefits it brings to students at school!

If you want your child to be successful, then the earliest you start them in a school learning environment, the better it will be for their long-term prospects.

Year 7 students at BISS Puxi have been very busy producing a cross-curricular project based on both their identities and their school environment. Subject teachers worked hard to produce innovative lessons, the work from which was then compiled independently by students in any format they wished.

Vladimir Horowitz was a pianist who many professionals would agree played Rachmaninoff, Liszt and Prokofieff with more flair than any pianist of his time.  He was known for his tremendous technique and ability to create excitement within his pieces.

This week we have had the start of the Gaming for Good Tournament, students have been competing in being the champion of Mario Kart and Beat Saber.

Over the last few weeks our Primary children have enjoyed and worked hard on their activities for International Week, and have learned a lot about different parts of the world in the process!

In Year 5, to further enhance the children’s learning, we have been providing the children with optional activities which they can do at home.

There have been a lot of reasons to celebrate our students recently, so I wanted to do a roundup of all the recent Principal’s Commendations I have awarded.

At BISS Puxi, we believe in supporting and encouraging students to develop not only academically but also holistically through the engagement of local and global issues. Linking to one of our five pillars, ‘internationalism’, we emphasise the importance of becoming a global citizen who makes informed decisions and contributes to the local and wider community.
