On Friday afternoon in Whales class we always have our learning leader time. This is a part of the week that is set aside for one of the children to talk about something they are interested in, whatever that may be!
We have had excellent learning leaders this academic year ranging from Talia talking about Kenya, Harald telling us all about the Vikings, Lucas’ memorable talk and demonstration of volcanoes and lots of children taking about different superheroes. However none have excited the children more than this week’s leader of Priscilla talking about her pet dog ‘Nick’.
So when ‘Nick’ actually turned up in class for the afternoon the children were bursting with excitement! We learnt so much about dogs and Nick in particular. It’s going to be hard to top this as a lasting memory from Reception for these children!
