As part of our 'To Infinity and Beyond' topic, the children were excited to have their ‘Wow’ event last week where they trained to become astronauts.

As part of our 'To Infinity and Beyond' topic, the children were excited to have their ‘Wow’ event last week where they trained to become astronauts.
Throughout one morning, they experienced a range of different activities – twelve in total - that were designed to test their fine motor skills and build up their core fitness and stamina in general.
One of the more physical activities that the children had to undergo was negotiating tricky terrain using the climbing wall in the basement. There were also less physically strenuous activities such as the station where they were asked to draw constellations using chalk and the station where they were asked to rebuild models wearing large and cumbersome gloves.
I am glad to report that all the Year 5’s passed their training and we look forward to having them come with us on our topic journey 'To infinity and Beyond'!
