Our students at The British School Yangon, Nord Anglia brought curiosity to life last week with a vibrant STEAM Exhibition that transformed our campus into a hub of discovery and innovation. Parents, teachers, and classmates joined together to explore, question, and celebrate the creativity of our young scientists and innovators.
The exhibition featured an impressive range of student led projects, each designed to spark curiosity and encourage hands on engagement. From Pythagoras and pendulums demonstrating the beauty of mathematical patterns, to battery design experiments exploring sustainable energy solutions, and even blind taste testing psychology that challenged perceptions and highlighted the power of the human senses — every exhibit invited visitors to interact, experiment, and think more deeply about the world around them.
What made the event truly special was the way students connected their learning across Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Each project reflected not only subject knowledge but also creativity, problem solving, and collaboration — skills that are central to BSY’s vision of preparing students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
The afternoon concluded with the much anticipated Bottle Rocket Challenge, a highlight of STEAM Week. Students of all ages gathered to launch their handcrafted rockets high into the sky, combining imagination with scientific precision. The cheers and excitement captured the essence of STEAM learning: curiosity, experimentation, and teamwork coming together in a joyful celebration.
A huge well done to all our young innovators for their dedication and creativity. The STEAM Exhibition was more than an event — it was a powerful reminder that at BSY, learning extends far beyond the classroom. By nurturing curiosity and encouraging students to explore, we empower them to become confident, future ready global citizens who will shape the world with their ideas.
