A huge congratulations to all those students who took part in the Adventurous Journey in Lam Dong province. In total 48 students (44 Year 12 & 4 Year 10) completed an incredibly challenging expedition.
It has been great to be back in school this week following our NAE teacher recruitment event in the UK and as always, I have enjoyed experiencing the vibrancy and energy around our school campus.
Welcome back to the first Weekly Highlights of 2024 and the first of this new school term. I trust that you all have had a great break – wherever this was, either in the city or further afield.
For Bao Quyen (or BQ), a Year 10 student at BVIS, the week-long trip to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was truly a memorable highlight of 2023 - all thanks to the collaboration between the Nord Anglia Education organisation and MIT.
This week the whole of Upper Primary came together in their house teams – Dalat, Hanoi, Hue and Saigon – to compete in the annual Sports Day led by our PE department.
Our Secondary Sports Day unfolded with zeal this Tuesday at District 8 Stadium, showcasing lively competitions among BVIS students in events such as long jump, shotput, javelin and tug of war."
We would like to expresses gratitude to all families for participating, accompanying, and understanding together with the students in various exciting activities aimed at environmental protection during the Exit Point of the "Climate Change" topic in the International Primary Curriculum this week!

Participating in the Oceanman World Final Championship in Phuket, Thailand, alongside 1,500 athletes from 72 countries worldwide, two students from BVIS, Bao Chau (Year 8) and Vuong Khoi (Year 6), continued to excel and significantly contributed to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese swimming team.
The ‘Year 1 starts Christmas’ is a wonderful gift that our students and teachers have dedicated to the BVIS families and community as the warm festive season is about to begin.
Being successful is an important aspect in all our lives, however what does it mean to be successful and how can we encourage our students across each age group to understand what is meant by success?
Storytelling is a great bonding experience and a fantastic way to develop children’s early literacy, critical thinking, cognitive and emotional skills.
