GREAT JOURNEYS START WITH SMALLS STEPS AT BVIS HCMC
BVIS hosted the 4th the Saigon Enterprise Challenge Competition (SEC) on Wednesday 26th April 2017.
SEC is an Inter-school competition in the Ho Chi Minh area between student groups that come up with a business idea, create a business plan and organise the enterprise prior to the end of December 2016, and then trade over an 8 week period between January and April 2017.
Teams are made up of students in the Year 12/13 UK system (Grade 11/12 North American system) and they do not need to be studying a business related subject.
The teams attended the event and completed a business report on the activity, created a trade stall demonstrating their business and presented to leaders/entrepreneurs from the Ho Chi Minh City business community. The event has three sponsors that provided the prizes. Sponsors for the competition included Vespa Adventures, Al Frescos and Simrans.
The main aims of the process are to provide the students with opportunities to develop their entrepreneurial skills which are being given much wider focus from governments in many economies.
All the students are winners as they gain a number of transferable skills throughout the process, however prizes are given in specific categories. The judges commented on the quality of the participants and the difficulty of choosing specific winners for each category yet came to the following conclusions:-
Well done to all of our students from BVIS, BIS and ISHCMC for their hard work and determination!
Our Year 11 Geography students had an incredible weekend (07-08/12/2024) exploring Mui Ne!
It’s time for our Secondary School students to show their dance talent, team up with friends, ignite the Christmas spirit and light up the stage with their dynamic moves!
