Day 1: Thursday 24th January 2019
This weekend Mrs Nga Huynh and our Primary Maths team of four Year 6 students are participating in the FOBISIA Primary Maths Competition 2019.
The competition is always a highlight of the school year and this year it is hosted by the International School of Brunei on 25th and 26th January. The competition is a great opportunity for the best young mathematicians across Asia to test their skills against each other.
Our children just had a meeting to prepare for the exciting activities starting from tomorrow!
Day 2 (Friday 25th January 2019)
All teams were split into 3 big groups to finish 3 activities:
Each activity lasted 40 mins and all participants needed to run around to look for the clues to solve the Maths problems.
Another exciting team challenge for the children!
After a hardworking day, we had a splendid boat trip and relaxing dinner in the Horizon Restaurant!
Day 3 (Saturday 26th January 2019)
Together with participants from other schools, BVIS students enjoyed 2 practical challenges this morning. One of those was to make something to protect an egg as it fell from the Mezzanine (M floor) without being smashed. How challenging these activities are!
