A warm welcome back to all our BVIS families and an especially warm welcome to all our new families that have joined us this term. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces coming through the gates on Tuesday. .jpg?h=600&w=900&rev=f7556b7bd35144bbbc684081471f4592&hash=4956989F55788AE99651A2AE65697C6B)
Before the students arrived on Tuesday, staff were at school on Monday, preparing for the term ahead. This included a session , from Luke Curran, Regional Director of Safeguarding for Southeast Asia, the Middle East and India, to present and lead a meaningful discussion on the topic of ‘Belonging’ and how we ensure there is genuine connection and care for all students and staff. Teams also had time to meet and plan for the coming weeks to ensure consistency and high-quality teaching and learning across the school. My thanks to all staff that prepared and delivered training. .jpg?h=600&w=900&rev=7021b7cd563740b18bb1c741cb9c8d03&hash=D10865967D654B84D4DFAB5E5A36B493)

Should you wish to contact your child’s Class Teacher(s) or Form Tutor directly, we encourage communication to be written in the language you most feel confident to use.
Parents may also find it useful to contact their child’s class teacher(s) or form tutor directly for all individual queries about their academic work/social and emotional wellbeing in school. Individual contact details can be found in the Parents’ Handbooks or via our Primary/Secondary Receptionists.

As we look forward to the upcoming Tet festival, we are reminded of the spirit of giving and community. Our community leader has reached out with a call for donations of essential goods to support our local partners who are less fortunate. We invite all families to contribute to this cause, as it aligns perfectly with our commitment to caring for others. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need during this festive season. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to make a positive impact in our community.
The donations we are looking for are for well-packaged food with long expiry dates (for example: instant noodles, rice, sugar, oil, fish sauce, milk, cereal, sweet treats etc…). These will be donated to: Rạng Đông Special Education School, Lasallian Charity School, Nhat Hong Blind Shelter and Hy Vong Hearing-Impaired School.

I trust that you have had a restful break and enjoyed some quality time with your children. My own holiday was spent with my family across a combination of Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, and it was brilliant.
The coming half term is a short one, but a busy one. Especially as we begin the build-up to the Tet holiday and the huge event that will be the Tet celebration on Sunday the 1st of February..jpg?h=650&w=900&rev=b01f07a6b1784ad094928a185baad9cb&hash=5BD1FEC9B1F8CEE9552B4B031E8A6384)
From an academic standpoint, the next few weeks will be incredibly important for our Year 11, 12 and 13 students as they will be completing in depth preparation for their mock examinations that take place in March..jpg?h=600&w=900&rev=a24d0847069e40068ae53511116269c3&hash=8811AB1927E74160EAA35E4F42C6E431)
Students in Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 will also be preparing to join the residential trips that will run at the same time as the mock examinations in March. We know the value of these experiences and are certain that the students will enjoy them immensely and learn a range of skills that are difficult to explore in a classroom setting..jpg?h=600&w=900&rev=30275742bf4a4bd2b45d4198c139d5cc&hash=376D1B3E1196B52DB2F99B5D95003C9A)
