Weekly Highlights is a weekly newsletter sent by the BVIS Leadership Team to parents, providing updates on notable news and activities at the school. The newsletter consists of three main sections: updates from the Principal, Head of Primary, and Head of Secondary.

Dear Parents,
Before you receive this, many of our secondary expeditions will have returned with more arriving later today. It’s been a hugely successful week for our students, enjoying time with friends, exploring new places, trying new activities with many of them being pushed beyond their comfort zones. We are proud of all the students and what they have achieved this week. There is more in the secondary highlights, please scroll down to learn more.

Today, there were many visitors to our school, many faces you will have recognised. I counted 29 Harry Potters, 8 Willy Wonkas, lots of Where’s Wally hiding in the crowd! Of course it was BVIS Primary Book Week! We have enjoyed a wonderful week of storytelling, sharing favourite books, visiting authors, books sales and today, our dress up day. Thanks to all involved. Please scroll to the primary section to learn more.

Thank you to all the parents that have replied to the enrolment for 2026 – 2027 email. It helps us enormously with planning for next year and ensuring we meet the needs of all our families.
