Oliver graduated with a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature and achieved QTS in Secondary English. He is also a qualified TEFL teacher.
He has extensively taught TEFL abroad, working with a range of ages and abilities in Japan, Thailand, and Spain. Between 2015–2019, he worked as a teacher in grammar schools in the UK, achieving exceptional results in IGCSE and A Levels. He has experience as an IGCSE and A-Level examiner and has led teacher training courses in China. Oliver was a Deputy Pastoral Lead with Sixth Form before taking up his current role. He pushes his students to thrive academically, believing that extensive reading and critical thinking underpin a student's ability to succeed in English.
Oliver is a passionate reader and is particularly fond of the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. He also enjoys dystopian novels. In his free time, he loves exploring the world with his partner, practicing yoga, and playing football to stay fit and healthy.
