Dubai Music Extravaganza

A Note from the Music Department

(concerning students across all three campuses)

Following on from last week’s announcement about the upcoming music trip to Dubai, a letter has been sent out to parents of current members of the primary choirs, secondary choir and funk band. It is not too late for students to join these ensembles, however regular attendance at rehearsals is a must.

Please contact your music teacher for further information on rehearsals.

There is a link on the letter to a Google Form which I would very much appreciate being filled in, so I can gauge roughly how many students would like to go on the trip.

Juilliard Visit

Following on from her visit in November, Jessica Meyer, violist and composer will be visiting in February. She will visit students at Madinat Khalifa on Sunday 12 February performing to students using her incredible looping machine, visiting Gharaffa on Monday 13 and Rayyan on Wednesday 15 February when she will also be offering parent/student workshops to parents who would like to know more about the Juilliard approach to teaching and learning in a hands on way. Further details of these workshops will be sent out after the break.

Juilliard Summer Arts Programme

Can we put in the poster about the Juilliard summer arts programme please. I announced it in the KS3 assembly this week, Faure was going to announce it during the primary assembly and I also asked Gharaffa and Rayyan to announce it in their assemblies.
