At Collège du Léman (CDL), we understand that every student is unique. We also know that your child will achieve more when they’re happy and doing what they love. That’s why all our students shape their own learning experience, guided and empowered by our extraordinary teachers.
This means choosing from an unparalleled range of extracurricular activities and High School diplomas, as well as the language they learn in. With wellbeing and internationalism embedded into everything we do, we’ll ensure your child is cared for, supported, and inspired, too. Our 'Made for You' approach enables our students to discover and develop their strengths, be their best, and achieve remarkable success.
One of the leading international private schools in Switzerland, Collège du Léman was founded in 1960 by two progressive Swiss educators, Francis and Inge Clivaz. They were determined to provide an exceptional international education that instilled a global perspective and took students to amazing places.
Our founding motto, coined by Francis Clivaz, is something that underpins our educational philosophy today: ‘To educate and teach in a spirit of openness and tolerance so that students become citizens and leaders of a world respectful of differences’.
Over the years, our commitment to internationalism, personalised learning, and all-round excellence has seen Collège du Léman – and our brilliant students – thrive.
In 2015, we joined the Nord Anglia Education global family. This has brought many benefits, from access to award-winning teacher training programmes and technology, to exclusive collaborations with The Juilliard School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and UNICEF.
Today, we’re home to more than 1,800 students, including almost 250 boarders. We’re proud to be a truly international community with children, families, and staff hailing from 120 countries worldwide.
We’re accredited by a series of prestigious organisations, including the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We’ve also been an International Baccalaureate World School since 2005, achieving excellent IBDP results year-on-year.
