As university offers continue to arrive, we are proud to share an early snapshot of the Class of 2026’s global university outcomes. To date, our students have received 139+ university offers worldwide, spanning six global regions – the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.
What makes this particularly noteworthy is the depth, breadth and consistency of destinations achieved, especially within a non selective school environment, where success is measured not by narrow entry criteria but by how well students are supported to grow, achieve and find the right next step.
Reflecting on the significance of these outcomes for the whole school community, Rachel Edwards, Head of Secondary, said:
“Congratulations to all our students, teachers, support team and our careers guidance counsellors for these excellent global offers. This is an exciting time for our soon‑to‑be graduates as they begin the next chapter of their lives with confidence and ambition.”
Together, these outcomes reflect not only the strength of the offers received but also the environment that supports students throughout their Sixth Form journey.
“These results speak not only to the destinations our students are reaching, but to the culture of aspiration, care and consistency that underpins their journeys. As a non selective school, we are proud to see students progressing to outstanding universities around the world, each following a route that reflects their individual strengths and ambitions.” — Chris Short, Interim Principal
Strong Academic Outcomes in the UK
Nearly 60% of all offers received are from Russell Group universities, the group of the UK’s 24 leading research intensive institutions. In total, students secured 82 Russell Group offers, with repeated success across multiple universities – a strong indicator of consistent academic preparation and subject strength across the cohort.
Alongside multiple offers from leading Russell Group institutions, students also received highly competitive offers from King’s College London and University College London (UCL), reinforcing the depth of achievement across a wide range of subjects.
These outcomes reflect sustained success across the year group, rather than isolated results, and demonstrate strong alignment between student aspirations, academic preparation and university expectations.
Global University Offers Across the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia Pacific
Beyond the UK, the Class of 2026 has secured offers from top ranked universities worldwide, underscoring both global ambition and international mobility.
In North America, students received offers from leading universities in both the USA and Canada, including placements supported by significant merit scholarships. Canadian outcomes include offers from the University of Toronto (across multiple campuses) and the University of British Columbia, with individual scholarships up to $125,000. In the USA, students secured offers from highly selective institutions, including NYU Tisch School of the Arts, with many offers including honours and scholarships.
Across Europe, offers from internationally recognised universities such as the University of Amsterdam and Trinity College Dublin highlight strong academic competitiveness beyond the UK system. In the Asia Pacific region, students received offers from Group of Eight universities in Australia, including Sydney and Monash, as well as institutions in Singapore, reinforcing the truly global nature of this year’s outcomes.
Breadth of Subjects and Student Choice
Just as impressive as the destinations themselves is the breadth of disciplines represented. Offers span medicine, engineering, business, life sciences, arts and design, reflecting student success across both academic and creative fields.
Many students are now choosing between multiple strong offers, giving them meaningful agency in shaping their next steps – whether that means pursuing a research intensive degree, a creative programme, or a course that best aligns with their individual interests and strengths.
Sixth Form at Dover Court: Strong Foundations and Consistent Outcomes
The success of the Class of 2026 builds on the strong academic foundations established at Dover Court Sixth Form, where recent cohorts have consistently achieved strong outcomes in both examinations and university destinations.
In the Class of 2025, students completing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) achieved excellent results, including an average IB score of 36, a highest score of 44, and a significant proportion of results above the global IB average. Alongside these academic achievements, students in the Class of 2025 secured offers from a wide range of competitive universities in the UK and internationally, including highly selective institutions such as the University of Cambridge, as well as leading global universities aligned with individual subject interests and ambitions.
At the same time, our 2025 BTEC students achieved remarkable success, with a 100% pass rate across all programmes, highlighting the strength of applied and vocational routes within the Sixth Form and reinforcing our commitment to supporting diverse learner profiles.
Together, these outcomes reflect the strength of the Dover Court Sixth Form – a non selective environment that prioritises academic rigour, personalised guidance and informed decision making, preparing students to progress confidently into their chosen next steps.
