Excellence That Includes Every Child

Parents searching for the best school in Singapore often start with results. At Dover Court International School, the results are strong. From Primary assessments to I/GCSE, BTEC and the IB Diploma, our students achieve well above global averages. Year after year, our results are among the highest in Singapore.
What makes us most proud is how our students get there.
As a school with inclusion at its heart, Dover Court is proudly non-selective. Since 1972, we have welcomed children with many different strengths, aspirations and learning profiles. We open our doors wider, and then we work harder to make sure each student experiences success.
Strong Primary results in Singapore: above UK and international averages
Walk into a Primary classroom at Dover Court and you'll see a teacher crouched beside a child. They aren't giving the answer. They're asking, "What could you try next?" Teachers here learn how each child thinks, whether that child is new to English, needs a little more time or is ready to race ahead. Then they plan for all of it.
David Buckley, Head of Primary, says:
"Building meaningful relationships starts with creating a culture where students feel a strong sense of belonging and know that they are understood. When students feel comfortable to express themselves, it strengthens both their confidence and their engagement in learning."
The impact shows early. On GL Assessment standardised tests, Dover Court Primary students average 105 in English and 106 in Maths. The UK national average is 100 and the international average is 104, and we stay above both across year groups.
Parents notice the difference too. As one family told us: "We've been blown away with the support, and our son is a happier human."

I/GCSE results 2026: more than half of grades at A*–A
By Secondary School, our students have learned how to learn. They plan, check their thinking, act on feedback and try again. In 2026, our I/GCSE students achieved:
- 96% of all grades at 9–4 (A*–C)
- 53% of all grades at 9–7 (A*–A)
- 34% of all grades at 9–8
- 58% of grades exceeded student targets
- 18% of candidates achieved 9–7 (A*–A) in every subject
For us, the figure that says the most is the 58% of grades above target. Progress measures how far each child travels, and our students go farther than they imagined possible.
Rachel Edwards, Head of Secondary, says:
"Our results represent learners from across our unique Pathway programmes. Beyond the excellent results there are many stories of personal challenge and remarkable perseverance."
IB Diploma results 2026: 100% pass rate, well above the global average
In 2026, Dover Court had its largest IB Diploma cohort ever, with 62 students. Every one of them passed.
- 100% pass rate, against a global pass rate of 82.6%
- An average score of 35.2, against a global average of 30.9
- An average subject grade of 5.5, against 4.9 globally
- 55.6% of grades awarded at 7 or 6
- 10% of students scored 40 points or more
- A top score of 44 out of 45
Our graduates receive offers from leading universities around the world, including Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, NUS, McGill King's College London, UCL, Rutgers, NYU, the University of Toronto, the University of Syndney and more.
Business Diploma (BTEC) results 2026: 100% pass rate across every programme
Not every student's path runs through one qualification. Our Business Diploma (BTEC) programmes combine academic study with hands-on, real-world learning, and in 2026 they delivered:
- 100% pass rate across all BTEC programmes, including Business Levels 1, 2 and 3 and IT Level 1
- 60% of Business students across Levels 1–3 achieved Merit or higher
- 66.7% of BTEC IT Level 1 students achieved Merit
- 75% of Level 2 Business students achieved at least one Merit or higher
LAMDA results: 100% pass rate at Merit and Distinction
Confidence in communication matters as much as results on paper. Our students take LAMDA qualifications in acting, performance and public speaking. They are internationally recognised and build skills that last a lifetime. In 2025, students across Grades 3 to 8 achieved:
- 100% pass rate at Merit and Distinction level
- 85% awarded Distinction, the highest grade possible
Why Dover Court's academic success is powered by its inclusive approach
Some schools reach excellent results by choosing who comes in. Dover Court has made a different choice, and our results show it works.
When teachers teach many kinds of learners, they become better at teaching every learner. How this works:
- Expert teaching. Our teachers choose Dover Court because they believe in our mission. They keep developing through ongoing professional training with Nord Anglia University and world-class partners. Through Nord Anglia's global network, they have access to research and resources that help them understand how each child learns, and how to stretch them further.
- Learning how to think. Our students learn metacognition: understanding how they learn best, and adapting their thinking to new challenges. This approach comes from Nord Anglia's two-year global research project with Boston College, which uses Thinking Routines from Harvard's Project Zero. In the first year, 84% of students said metacognition helps them understand how they think and learn best, and 75% said their independence improved. These habits help students achieve strong results now. They also prepare them for an AI-shaped future, where thinking for yourself matters more than ever.
- A culture of kindness. Children who feel safe ask more questions and take on harder challenges. Our 2025 Council of International Schools evaluation highlighted mutual respect between staff and students and a genuine sense of community, and concluded: "DCIS is a school that lives its mission."
- Exceptional opportunities beyond the classroom. Our students join STEAM programmes at MIT in Boston, and they represent the DCIS Wolves at the Nord Anglia Games in Cambodia. Across Singapore and beyond, they have countless chances to stretch themselves, discover new passions and build friendships that last.
Award-winning international school in Singapore
Our approach has been recognised again and again:
- HoneyKids Gold, Diversity and Inclusive Community Award, four years running
- HoneyKids Silver, The Curriculum Award (British), 2024 and 2025
- HoneyKids Silver, School Where Everybody Knows Your Name, 2025
- Little Steps Asia Silver, Curriculum Initiative of the Year, 2026
- British Chamber of Commerce UK Impact in Singapore Award, 2019 and 2022
A school to be proud of
If your child is already at Dover Court, these results belong to them. The care you see at the classroom door each morning is what makes this achievement possible. If you're looking for a school in Singapore, ask more than where students finish. Ask whether the school will know your child, and how far it will help them go.
