LCIS celebrates their IBDP results 2020

IBDP graduates at LCIS achieve outstanding results

Students, staff and parents at La Côte International School Aubonne are celebrating the outstanding IBDP results achieved by our graduates in the academic year 2019/20. With an average score of 35 out of 45 points, we are well above the IB global average of 29.9 points, beating it by over 15%.

In addition to this impressive overall performance, many of our students achieved notable personal successes, reflecting their determination and capabilities as learners: two graduates achieved an outstanding 40+ points, and most of our students are joining their top choice university.

We are absolutely delighted with the outstanding DP results achieved by our Class of 2020! Not only have they managed to maintain LCIS's incredible 100% pass rate at DP, but they also managed to do it by matching our best ever average points score of 35. Their remarkable achievement is testament to their impressive ability, determination, and resilience when facing considerable adversity in these unprecedented times. A special thank you must go to their friends and families, not to mention the inspiring and committed staff at LCIS who supported them throughout the entire two-year programme and beyond. We are so incredibly proud of them and wish them well in the next steps of their academic journeys. On behalf of everyone in the LCIS community, congratulations, Class of 2020! I am delighted that for the 6th year running, our graduates have achieved a 100% pass rate with an average score of 35 out of 45 points, a wonderful record of consistent success for a non-selective school. I am very pleased to see that our students will be joining top universities including University of Leiden, King’s College London and University of Birmingham. We are immensely proud of what our graduates have achieved, and I am so impressed with their ambition, resilience and positivity in a year that has been challenging for all. Andy Puttock, Principal at LCIS

All of us here at La Côte International School Aubonne would like to congratulate our graduates. Our students have put in incredible hard work over the years and we can’t wait to see what they do in the future.

As a family of schools, Nord Anglia schools recorded an average diploma score of 34.4 points out of 45, well above the global average score of 29.9 points. Nord Anglia also had a 94% diploma pass rate in its IB schools, which is significantly above the global average of 77.4% last year. This marks seven years of our global family exceeding average scores.

A huge congratulations to all our graduates and IBDP achievers for a job well done!

It’ll be sad to see the school that’s raised me go. Edward Lawrence, Head Boy and IBDP graduate at LCIS
