Early Years Coordinator - Foundation 2 Teacher

Originally from the south of England and having lived there until she was 28, Emma trained to be a teacher specializing in Early Years. She then taught in both Portsmouth and Southampton for 7 years in Reception classes and a year in Year one. Emma then moved to work internationally at the Nord Anglia school in Charlotte North Carolina, teaching in the F1 class for 4 years and a year in the F0 class. From then she moved to the Boston school, teaching In the Toddler Class for 2 years, followed by a year in Bermuda teaching 18 months to 5 years as the Early Years Lead Teacher.

During her time of teaching in international schools, Emma has enjoyed keeping up with current practice with the courses on the Nord anglia university website along with co leading the Making Thinking Visible course. She has also supported other Early years teachers with planning, teaching and learning and International Early Years Curriculum implementation.

Emma is relocating to Switzerland this year to join the LCIS team as Early Years Leader and one of the Reception Class teachers. Emma is particularly excited about developing the outside area, as she loves being outdoors and swapping her heels for Wellingtons. She is really looking forward to exploring the culture, local areas and also traveling to more  of Europe. Along with continuing her hobbies of running, cooking and salsa dancing.
