Aidan was born in Kendal in the Lake District and lived in different parts of England whilst growing up. He qualified as a primary school teacher in 2015 after studying a BA Hons primary teaching degree for 3 years. In this time he trained in both key stage 1 and 2.
Since qualifying, he has worked for the past two years at a Church of England school near Scarborough promoting a positive, caring and open minded ethos and values. As the maths coordinator for the school, he led the development of maths, working alongside children across the primary age range to improve and promote a love of maths and learning. He enjoys open ended investigations and exploring critical thinking skills as well as the application of maths on a day-to-day basis.
In Aidan's own words: "I believe every child should be able to access learning at their level, regardless of ability."
He is a keen motorcycle enthusiast who toured extensively the width and breath of the UK and is now looking forward to exploring Europe. He also enjoys climbing and travelling and like experiencing new cultures, ways of living and meeting new people.
